As you may have noticed, many changes have been taking place here at Shavron.  We are into our second month of SAR 2010, minor website changes have been implemented, and Iditarod 2010 will be hitting the trail in early March.  We also plan, over the next year, to enhance the Yes Bay Lodge experience, have many Online Events and Nav Challenges, a major website update, and a possible Bush Flying Competition with other Bush Virtual Airlines.  In all of these events we plan to give AWESOME, "Alaska related" prizes like payware aircraft and scenery, books, DVD's, and Shavron apparel.  With these planned changes comes an increase in our real world expenses.  We expect our new expense for 2010 to be more than $300, which brings us to the "Iditarod Rookie Showdown", our first fund raising event for the year.  Here's how it works:  For every $5 that you donate from now through the morning of March 6th, you will be assigned one of the 22 available rookie mushers.  We will assign them by drawing there names from a hat.  Then, after the Iditarod is complete, the individual who has the best placing rookie (of the names that we drew) will receive a brand new Flight Replica's "Extreme Bush" Super Cub**!!  Check it out at www.flight-replicas.com/SuperCubextremepkg.htm !  We also encourage you to keep track of your rookie's performance as they run the Greatest Race On Earth!!  You can do that by going to www.iditarod.com/race !  You can even use them with our "Musher Support" flights!  Check out what all we have going on with this years Iditarod at www.shavronair.net/iditarod.htm !!!
