Directions, Rules, and Regulations Starting Each Race 1. We will meet each race night at 8:30 CST. We will then begin lining up for the race at 8:45 CST and the race will begin at 9:00 CST. If you do not make it online before the last person has taken off, you will not be able to compete in that nights race. Do not worry though, if you miss a race night, you will not be disqualified for the entire event, we will take that nights worst time and add 5 seconds to it and that will be your time for that race. 2. After loading up Microsoft Flight Simulator and connecting online at West Coast ATC you will need to set your current time as 12:00PM and download real world weather (updated every 15minutes). At approximately 5 minutes before the race, the race official will ask every competitor if this has been done. If you take part in a race and do not have real world weather set up as your current weather it will be considered cheating and could result in your disqualification of the entire event. 3. There will be two race officials in every race, the first pilot and the last pilot. These two pilots will still be competing in the race. There job will be to keep track of the time clock. 4. Once lined up and 9:00 CST has passed, the race will begin with the departure of the first race official. 4 minutes later the next pilot will depart. Every 2 minutes after that a pilot will depart until all pilots have departed. 5. Once on final at the destination airport you must call out your intent to land and must land on the designated runway which will be determined before the race begins. Once you have touched down on the runway and you come to a complete stop your time will then stop. You must then immediately exit the runway as there might be someone right behind you trying to land. This then concludes your portion of the race. 6. The Current Standings will be updated every race so you can see how you are doing overall in the series. At the end of the 26 race series the winner will receive the Trophy Cup seen on the Current Online Event page.
Missing A Race 1. If you miss a race, no need to worry. Your time will be the worst completed time plus 5 more seconds. 2. If you do not begin racing in the Race Across Alaska event from the beginning, you also have no need to worry. Your starting overall time will be the worst overall time plus 15 seconds.
