Directions, Rules, and Regulations Starting Each Mission 1. Check the Forum and see if the downed aircraft has been located yet. 2. Once you have determined that it hasn't been located, download and install the scenery. 3. Load in at the aircrafts departure airport (at the SAR Mission Reserved Parking Spot listed below) and file a flight plan for the destination airport. 4. Start Searching! 5. Once you or another pilot locates the plane, rescue or assist in rescuing the passengers and fly them back to Anchorage (PANC) for medical attention. 6. If you are the pilot who locates the plane, write down the Longitude and Latitude position of the plane and leave a post on the Forum under the SAR Missions thread with that information and a picture of the rescue. 7. One point will be awarded for every hour that you fly. Reserved Parking Spots Anchorage - Parking #70 Haines - Parking #7 Homer - Parking #4 McGrath - Parking #16 Badger Isle - TBD Maximum Discoverer Points January - 10 points February - 15 points March - 20 points April - 25 points May - 30 points June - 35 points July - 40 points August - 45 points September - 50 points October - 55 points November - 60 points December - 65 points Multiplier If the aircraft is located in the following amount of days, the discoverer will receive the following percentage of Discoverer Points: 1 - 3 Days - 100% of the Discoverer Points 4 -7 Days - 50% of the Discoverer Points 8 - 21 Days - 25% of the Discoverer Points 22 - 30 Days - 10% of the Discoverer Points 31 Days or More - 0% of the Discoverer Points, but you will be awarded 1 point per hour flow to fly the remains from the point of recovery to the Coast Guard Station in Juneau. If Suspected of Cheating 1st offense - Warning 2nd offense - 1 point deduction from overall score 3rd offense - 5 points deduction from overall score 4th offense - 15 points deduction from overall score 5th offense - disqualification from event |
